Sibylle Ciarloni macht Literaturprodukte, Lesungen, Video Arbeiten, Hörproduktionen… literature productions, readings, video works, audio productions.

The artist and writer deals with the voice of things and their impact on the human condition. She is interested in transformation exercises, especially the movements of escape and/or adaptation. She works with different media and research techniques in her studio based on the Adriatic coast in Italy. In Berlin she shares a working space with other artists. Her tools are listening, reading, observing, language, extrapolation and repetition. She deals with long-term, practice-based but speculative thinking. Recent productions include Monolog einer Zimmerpflanze (Monologue of a Houseplant) and the audio-visual work How to Draw Yourself as a Fish. First steps from 2003 to 2007 with the radio show Auf hoher See (On High Seas). Later she published some of her short stories (Bernstein und Valencia) and the photo essay Strandläufer lungomare. Other publications in anthologies, u.a. entwürfe. Readings in Switzerland, Germany, Italy. Between 2007 and 2010 Sibylle Ciarloni run Salon Billa in Baden, Switzerland (Art Space, Bookshop).

Die Autorin und Künstlerin befasst sich mit der Stimme von Dingen und deren Wirkungen auf die menschliche Existenz. Sie interessiert sich für Transformationsübungen, vor allem für die Bewegungen der Flucht und/oder Anpassung. Sie arbeitet mit verschiedenen Medien und Forschungstechniken in ihrem Studio an der italienischen Adriaküste. In Berlin teilt sie sich einen Arbeitsraum mit anderen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern. Ihre Werkzeuge sind Zuhören, Lesen, Beobachten, Sprache, Extrapolation und Wiederholung. Zu ihren jüngsten Produktionen gehören die Arbeit Monolog einer Zimmerpflanze und die audio-visuelle Arbeit How to Draw Yourself as a Fish. Erste Schritte zwischen 2003 bis 2008 mit dem Radiomagazin Auf hoher See. Sie veröffentlichte den Erzählband Bernstein und Valencia und den Fotoessay Strandläufer lungomare. Es folgten Lesungen in der Schweiz, Deutschland, Italien. 2007-2010 leitete Sibylle Ciarloni den Salon Billa in Baden, Schweiz (Kunstraum, Buchladen).

Und manchmal unterzeichnet sie als Fay Arnold (Agentin, Kritikerin, Rezensentin).
